ATTENTION – Notice for the traffic detour for Work Area 4:
This notice is for the local businesses/entities who are located along SR 739 in Pike County, PA. Please be aware in the designated work area of the shoulder widening project, there will be a detour that is to be implemented at different stages during the project.
The detour for Work Area 4 will be initiated on Wednesday September 4th, 2024, and will start at the intersection of Rt 6 and SR 739. The detour will be roughly 2000 LF from RT 6 and will stop just before the driveway of 121 RT 739 (STATION 384+77). We will stage all construction activities to allow for continuous access to local properties within the detoured area, and also to allow emergency services to pass through.
The detour will be open ONLY for emergency services such as fire departments, police, EMS, school buses etc as well as residents who live along SR 739 WITHIN the detour. All other travelers will have to follow the detour along RT 434 or RT 402.
