ATTENTION – Notice for the traffic detour for Work Area 4:

This notice is for the local businesses/entities who are located along SR 739 in Pike County, PA. Please be aware in the designated work area of the shoulder widening project, there will be a detour that is to be implemented at different stages during the project.

Route 739 road closure to “All Traffic”, starting June 10, from Pike County Boulevard to Route 6, until further notice. This closure is part of a safety improvement project by PennDOT. Local businesses and residents should prepare for potential disruptions during the closure period. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time.

The detour will be open ONLY for emergency services such as fire departments, police, EMS, school buses etc as well as residents who live along SR 739 WITHIN the detour. All other travelers will have to follow the detour along RT 434 or RT 402.
